Sunny Ridge can help with your Illinois Special Needs Adoption.

Did your family previously adopt a child through Sunny Ridge? Have you thought about adopting a child from China's Waiting Child Program?

As you may know, Sunny Ridge has the ability to place children from China with “special needs.” The children are of either gender, tend to be over the age of two and have a medical condition(s). Their special needs may be minor correctable issues, or significant physical challenges. All are precious children in need of forever families. At Sunny Ridge, finding homes for these children is part of our Waiting Child Adoption Program.

Beginning on August 1, 2010, Sunny Ridge will accept applications for our Waiting Child Adoption Program, from families who have previously completed an adoption through our agency. Because we have previously worked with you, we wanted to offer you the opportunity to apply to our program first.

Beginning October 1, 2010, Sunny Ridge will open this program to all families.

Due to the nature of the China Waiting Child Program and how children are matched, Sunny Ridge will only accept 20 families into the program at a time. Once we have received 20 families into the program, a hold will be placed on new applicants, until spots open.
