Finding Adoptive Families for Boys

Did you know that, for many children, the biggest hurdle to being adopted is not their special medical need, but rather their gender?China Waiting Child Program - Your Child's Culture - Chinese Child Blowing Dandelion

In the China Waiting Child Program, finding adoptive families for boys is quite a challenge. Boys will wait longer for their forever families, simply due to their gender. Most families considering an adoption from China have the misconception that only little girls are available. Families are often surprised to learn that there are more boys than girls available in this program. In fact, there are currently three times as many boys as girls available. A little girl with cleft lip and palate will be matched with a family much faster than a little boy with the exact same condition. Sunny Ridge is determined to change this and we are in search of families open to the amazing world of little boys.

Can you picture your family with a little boy? A little boy brings a sense of adventure into every new situation. His world will be filled with dinosaurs, legos and cars. He can wrestle you to the ground one minute and smother you with hugs and kisses the next. He may try to act like a tough guy, but he will have a kind heart. He will come to your rescue by putting on a cape and becoming your superhero. He will love his family. He will adore his mommy. He will speak his mind and mean what he says. He will get dirty. He will explore, run and climb. He will be loud. He will have a joyful giggle that will melt your heart.

He will have big dreams.

Every little boy deserves a family. Are you ready for the adventure?
