Adopt A Child from the Philippines

Program What is this?	Partner Program: Wide Horizons for Children
Children in Need of a Family	Open your heart and your home to a child from the Philippines. Boys and girls in need, but must be open to either gender. More boys available; placement of boys usually occurs under 18 months. Sibling groups available.

Travel	Short trip of one week or less at the time of placement. Only one parent required to travel.

Benefits & Issues to Consider	Lower fees. Children are of Malay/Spanish/Chinese heritage. Minimal paperwork requirements. Preference for families of Filipino descent.

Eligibility	Married couples may apply; applicants must be between 27-47 years of age and no more then three children already in the family. No more than one divorce. Practice of religious belief important.

Medical Information	Background, medical, and developmental information usually available.

Time frame	Average of 18 to 24 months for referral
