Our caring program staff at Sunny Ridge stands ready to help you or your family. Our counselors and social workers are seasoned professionals with years of experience counseling young women, serving children and building families around the world.
When families choose to work with Sunny Ridge, our goal is to provide services with professionalism, compassion, and individualized attention. To this we add a deep love for children, program excellence, and years of professional experience.

Jill Greenwood, MA
Adoption Specialist
Joining Sunny Ridge in 2012, Jill provides birth parent counseling services, home studies for adoptive families, post placement services, licensing-monitoring visits, as well as outreach in the Domestic Adoption Program. Jill also provides search and reunion services. Jill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Human Services Administration from Concordia University. Since 1997 Jill has worked in the field of child welfare with experience in both foster care and adoption. Jill also has experience supervising a foster care licensing department for children placed in adoptive homes.

Pam Shepard, MSW, LCSW
Supervisor of Parent Training and Adoption Counseling Services
Pam provides individual and family therapy and has experience working with anxiety, depression, defiant behavior, attention deficit/hyperactivity, post-traumatic stress disorder, abandonment, grief, and loss issues. Pam specializes in common issues connected with adoption such as attachment and identity issues. Pam has been trained at the introductory level of Theraplay®. She also assists families with the pre and post educational aspects of adoption. Pam has worked in the child welfare field since 1996 with experience in foster care, domestic and international adoptions, and birthparent counseling. Prior to joining Sunny Ridge in January of 2011, Pam was employed as an Adoption Preservation Therapist, providing individual, family and group therapy. Pam has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master’s of Social Work degree from Dominican University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Liz Korose
Adoption Administrative Support
Since 2000, Liz has provided administrative support for our international staff working with networking programs. She assists adoptive parents with their needs and interacts with their placing resources. Liz is involved with document preparation and tracking – keeping the process moving forward within the various timelines. Liz also provides support for various educational meeting opportunities throughout the year.
Peggy Earwood
Adoption Administrative Support
Since 1986, Peggy has worked in a supportive role in all of the Sunny Ridge adoption programs. She currently works primarily in the agency’s China adoption program. Peggy coordinates many aspects of the documents required by the China Center Of Adoption Affairs, making sure that families’ dossiers meet all requirements. She assists families in understanding the document authentication process for all 50 states. Peggy manages critical details in the adoption process and has escorted four groups to China to complete their adoptions. Peggy also provides support to staff and clients in the Sunny Ridge Frozen Embryo program.
Nancy Crouch, MA, LCPC
Supervisor of Adoption Services
Joining Sunny Ridge in 2011, Nancy supervises Adoption Services, provides home study and post-placement services to families. Nancy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Arts from Central Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Oakland University. She is also a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois. Since 1988 Nancy has worked in the field of child welfare with experience in both foster care and adoption. Nancy also has many years of experience providing counseling services to families and supervising a unique adoption program for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
Jessica Augsburger, MSW, LCSW
China Waiting Child Coordinator
Joining Sunny Ridge in 2005, Jessica conducts home studies for adoptive families, provides post placement services in the international program and currently coordinates the China Waiting Child Program. Jessica is also a certified W.I.S.E. Up facilitator. Jessica holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Hope College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Dominican University. She is also a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois. Since 2002, she has been working in the field of child welfare with experience in both foster care and adoption.
Amy Trotter, LCSW
Executive Director of Programs
Amy joined Sunny Ridge in 2008. In addition to supervising program activities, Amy prepares families for adoption in both our international, special needs, and domestic programs. Amy also provides training and education to families, as well as post adoption services. Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a bachelor and master’s degree in social work. She received her master’s (MSW) degree from the University of Iowa. Since 1995 Amy has worked in the field of child welfare with experiences in foster care, adoption, and juvenile court.
