Picnic Date Set!
 Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 11:00am to 3:00pm for the annual Sunny Ridge Picnic! This year our Picnic will again take place at Argonne Park, on the grounds of Argonne National Laboratory. Enjoy a day with the Sunny Ridge family—including food, kids' games, music, and lots of fun! An Adoption Opportunity
Did your family previously adopt a child through Sunny Ridge? Have you thought about adopting a child from China's Waiting Child Program? As you may know, Sunny Ridge has the ability to place children from China with “special needs.”  The children are of either gender, tend to be over the age of two and have a medical condition. Their special needs may be minor correctable issues, or significant physical challenges. All are precious children in need of forever families. Beginning on August 1, 2010, Sunny Ridge will accept applications from families who have previously completed an adoption through our agency. Read more about this opportunity.

WISE Up Post Adoption Workshops
WISE Up! is a parent/child workshop offering  adoptive children and families effective ways to handle comments and personal questions about their adoption story. Sunny Ridge staff are now trained to offer WISE Up! Workshops, to children ages 6 and 11 -- adopted both internationally and domestically. Sunny Ridge will offer additional WISE UP! Workshops this Fall. Watch your e-mail for more information!

The Annual Fund
All of us at Sunny Ridge are grateful for those who have made a gift to the Annual Fund at Sunny Ridge. This Fund helps provide for the vital day-to-day needs of our mission. Donors may choose to enroll in one of three Giving Societies, depending on their gift. All donors to the Annual Fund are acknowledged in our Summer VIEWS Newsletter, mailed to your home. Use our online donation page to send a gift today! Thank you for your loving support of Sunny Ridge. 

Matching Gift Programs
This year thousands of extra dollars have been contributed toward our mission through an employer's Matching Gift program. Many Sunny Ridge donors help provide "matching gifts" by completing a form from their employer's human resource department. When they do, their gift is doubled by their employer.  See our list of companies that match gifts, or check with your employer to see if they offer a Matching Gift Program. Take this easy step to help Sunny Ridge and double the impact of your next donation!
